Missing multiplier

Picked up my E7200 and Abit IP35 this weekend, one problem though. Everyone seems to say these chips have a 9.5 multi yet my motherboard only allows me to input a value between 6 and 9. Is there something glaringly obvious i'm missing.

For the record though it is running nice and cool @ 9*400 1.25v but would like the extra 200

Make sure your board is running the latest bios, if it is then your mb simply doesn’t support half multipliers.

Make sure that you're using Coretemp 0.99 to check the VID as the old version reports it incorrectly, 1.1375 is nice though if it is right

Core temp is reporting it the same. Cool.

Just trying to download the latest bios from abit but the site seems to be running like a dog for me

Managed to get the latest bios and problem solved.

Sitting at 400*9.5 at 1.25v and 26c idle. Good times.

bios updates don't kill motherboards, only people applying them do......
