A good friend of mine has gone missing.. not just in the past day or so, but he has been missing now since last tuesday.

i know posting here wont help... well maybe it will , i dont know, but i feel like i have to put word out everywhere. he was a really happy guy, played in the band he'd always wanted to play in, had a stable job, so far as i knew a good home life, loads of friends all over the place...

and he has just vanished. he is on the missing persons list obviously, and police are ''''searching''''. i dont know what to do, its one of those things that never happens to your friends, only other people.

just incase.. he's called adam vallely. he's tall, bout 6'5'' and kinda lanky. long emo-ish hair, but his dress sense isnt emo, its more ska- scene (decent fitting jeans, small fitting hooded jacket, converse shoes etc ) dark hair, blue eyes...

i really dont know what to do. his phone is off.. im only hoping he has found a friend somewhere in the country that he is staying with.. thats all i can think of. we wernt terribly close, but we were close when we were in year 9, and since then have always been there for each other, would txt or call every now and then, go to gigs every so often, or watch a movie..

ive got missing persons number on my phone...worrying has made me pretty tired tbh, so im goin to bed now.. assumin i can sleep.

sorry for the downhearted post :(

It's actually quite a smart thing to do posting here, there are a lot of members who visit these boards, so there's a small chance somebody might know him. :)

I hope he turns up safe and sound soon.

There has to be a place where missing people go, they can't just disappear off the face of the planet its not possible. It fascinates me, where do they go!

Hope he turns up, must be awful for you :(

Hope you find your friend :(

Any idea of where in the "Country" he might be?

i know he got with a girl up in cambridge when they were at reading together.. they stayed quite good friends. he stays pretty good mates with everyone he meets at festivals, so anywhere in a 100- 150 mile radius of reading. it seems hopeless.

is there anything i should be doing? feels like there is. there have been weird things going on here recently, that murder i posted about a week ago? then more people getting beaten up.. it all plays on your mind :(

If he was on holiday his family wouldn't let the police go searching for him.

One of my friends used to go missing a lot when he was at uni, he wouldnt contact anyone as he said it interupted his fun. He was always ok. Although I hope he does turn up.

It's probably likely he's met up with either the Cambridge lass or a festival chum.

Best of luck that he turns up safe and sound anyway, try not to lose sleep over it as you're doing all you can.

yeh thats him, and thats his mate jas with him.

some of his mates have gone up to london to ask them if theyve seen him, he was due to be staying with them to see a wolfmother gig tomrrow night, incidently, on his birthday...
hasnt said a word, last time anyone had any notable contact was wednsday when he said he was visitng a sick relative in london.. theres no sick relative.
his parents were away at the time too, on holiday, but they have now come back early.

we are still hopeful he has just decided to up and leave for a bit :)

I think the best thing you can do is get everyone who knows him to look out for him. You could also put some signs around? Hope he turns up, it is one of those things where you think "It'll never happen to someone I know" :(

sounds like he's simply being irresponible/inconsiderate and just crashing round a mates place without telling people where he is.

Going missing for a day or two could be considered as irresponsible/inconsiderate. Going missing for over a week and not telling anyone is plain stupid and if he is [and I really hope he is] just off having fun somewhere then he deserves a bloody good hiding when he turns up.
