Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation

Strange this one. Plot relies on plot holes almost full circle, some incredibly stupid cliched devices.
prime example - waterproof defibrillators readily available in sewers is one stretched plot device, but defibrillation of a person that drowned few minutes before to the point where their lungs clear of water, well, you don't see that on Greys Anatomy...

I believe they put the defibrillator at the exit point in advance since they anticipated he might drown while escaping. I was also waiting for the classic water spluttering as he came back to life, but he didn't do that for some reason.

My most annoying thing in the film was when they crashed their car and were stuck upside down. I predicted Hawkeye would hit they guy with his car at the last minute, which happened, but it made no sense since the guy would have heard the Land Rover coming from a mile away. Somehow Hawkeye engaged Stealth Mode on it so it made absolutely no sound until just as it hit the guy.

8 / 10 for me, enjoyed it but got a little slow in parts.

Glad they got the plane stunt out of the way within 5 minutes and oh my god it's so refreshing having a female lead who isn't a love interest.

I don't get all the praise for this movie, I found it quite average/forgettable. Maybe 6/10. I preferred the previous one. We were actually deciding between watching this and Antman, so I checked IMDB and this had a higher rating so we went to see it. Very surprised it was 8/10 on there.

Have to agree, I found the previous one more enjoyable.

Indeed. Found it to be pretty run of the mill. Was too long as well. Simon Pegg was in it far too much also and didn't bring any humour to it like i was expecting. Quite impressed by the woman in it though. 6/10

Anyone else think Tom Cruise looked a little...'odd' in this film? Dodgy makeup or something. Quite offputting as I kept noticing it.

Something else that caught my eye for some reason was that it was funded by 'The Chinese Movie Channel' and 'Alibaba Productions' or something similar.

Yeah, found it pretty boring and too long. Don't understand all the positive reviews. The plot was just a rehash of other movies and the characters dull and clichéd. One to avoid IMO. Plus the in your face product placement by BMW and Microsoft was shocking!

Also, does Tom Cruise have some kind of clause in his contract where he has to strut about half naked flexing his pecs for the first 15 minutes of every movie he's in!
