My mate wants me to build him a gaming computer. The problem is he only has £300!!

i dont need a moniter, keybord,mouse or speakers

plez help!

Whereas I am pretty certain it would be fine.

With an x6800 based system it used 354w from the wall or 301w from the PSU based on 85% efficiency. People grossly over estimate what they need in most cases.

Yeah I agree, however wattage isn't the main concern, it's amps on the 12v. This PSU can only supply 31a with a max wattage of 372W on the 12v rail. So that doesn't leave much room for breathing space or future upgrades. It's also not advised to run a PSU at or near it's limit. He would also have to buy a molex to 8pin adaptor since the PSU comes with one pcie cable.

It'll run a 4830 fine :)

will i need 8pin adaptor for the 4830???

i thought the 4830 had one 6 pin?
