Well, i finally decided to replace the wifes 03 megane with a bigger car. The megane is just too small now we have two kids. Anyway, managed to pick her up this very tidy example Octy vRS. It's absolutely immaculate. It's done just over 60,000 miles (cam belt and water pump time

)

I love it, i must say. Sure beats my Astra oil burner (company car

) for enjoyment to drive, but then again many things are nicer to drive than the Astra

All the missus was bothered about was a big boot

Most people will know the specs already 1.8 turbo approx 180BHP. This one is totally standard. For a fun bargain family car i didn't really find anything to match this.

So here it is anyway.

I know there are a few people on here from Briskoda, i'm on there now too. See you round

Lovely cars

Whoever designed the VRs models interior colour scheme obviously didnt think it through very well... everything's cream :s

Just over 5k. I got 4750 for the wifes Megane so it effectively cost me just around £500 not too bad i don't think

ARGH!!

I didn't realise they had white carpets aswell as white leather inset seats!

Very nice though, I do like these and they're very good VFM. If I had one it'd absolutely have to be in yellow :cool:

The black bits on the seats are leather and the white bits are cloth.
Car mats are essential

What mods have you got on the cards then?

The seats don't actually get that dirty believe it or not... and a quick spray of "shout" will clean them up for a quid.

Haven't told the missus yet but a remap might be on the cards

Jabba's a canny distance from where i live though

Might see if there are any reputable tuners in the north east that might be able to do it.

Don't think i'll bother with any kind of induction kits. Maybe get a new panel filter but the missus hates noisey boy racer type noises (she doesnt mind the turbo) so i'm not to sure if she's put up with extra induction noise.

Still looking at the diffrent mods that can be done so not too sure yet.

Cheers for that link. I'll take a look.

Might look at some panel filters too. What the general concensus regarding panel filters for the vRS? In fact, i havn't even looked to see what it has on at the moment. Probably just standard, everything else is.

Dont think there will be any massive mods going on. Havn't really got money to waste

Well either the Green or Pipercross are favoured. K&N with the oil are not as they can block up/kill the MAF (which you don't want to do).

Nice car, almost bought one of these. The remap seems a good move, I wouldn't go for exhaust/intake options if the wife doesn't like noise. Maybe get a decat if you know any "friendly" mot testers
