MIT Tries To Re-invent The Post-It Note

I can't see this being useful at all.

The beauty of post-it notes is that they are simple and temporary. If you start adding "clever" stuff to it, they lose that simplicity. Not to mention you would have to remember to use their special pen/pad for the computer to detect it.

Also if you are so disorganised you keep meetings you have planned or other important information on post-it notes then I don't think this would help you.

The beauty of these is that it's just a regular post it pad, with a funky pen.

No pen = regular post-it.

Obviously, I wouldn't rely on this solely, but until you've tried it, I don't think you could write it off (pun ;))

Are you sure as the post it notes had RFID tags on the back of them.

I'm sure someone will find this useful but I wouldn't use it, I only use post it notes when the pc is off or for useless stuff. Plus I can type quicker than I can write.

The boys (and maybe the odd girl :p) at MIT have come up with another ingenius item. Right now it might seem a little useless, but all technology is becoming more and more portable, and who's to say in the next few years that the entire thing they've developed won't fit into the space that a regular post-it notepad already takes up?

If a man from IBM can get it wrong about the number of PCs the world will require, then so can the population of GD :p

Meh, the existing Post-It note software is adequate for me. New system probably costs more than the regular notes too.

I'm not sure I'd want to trust their software to interpret my messages:p

Could potentially lead to embarrasing situations. "Hi Hun, hope you've got the handcuffs ready for tonight" and the software reads it as "Hi Mum ....":o

Because EXTREME opinions make him feel SPECIAL!

And pointing out people with EXTREME opinions makes you feel superior for just a few seconds in what is otherwise a lifetime of mediocrity. :)

Seriously though, I was just expecting something much more advanced, like a fully bendable post-it note with a digital display on it or something like that.
