Mix and match DDR4?

Hello folks,

Currently using : https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cors...hannel-kit-black-cmk16gx4m2b32-my-456-cs.html

Also have some of this here : http://uk.crucial.com/gbr/en/ble2c4g4d32aeea (hope that's not a competitor - OCUK don't stock the RAM so...) It is Crucial BLE2C4G4D32AEEA.

If I put the Crucial RAM into my system (Asus Pro Gaming Z170, 6600k) will it work and increase my RAM to 24GB?

Both types of RAM appear to have the same timings, speeds, voltages etc.

If you already own it and it's going spare, you can try it. It is the same speed, but systems can sometimes get a bit funny with different brands/sizes of RAM being used at the same time.

The ICs on those kits are completely different. One is micron the other Samsung. SPD tables as such will be different.

Also density is different. For me this is a crazy idea. Nothing about it says its the correct thing to do.
