If you already own it and it's going spare, you can try it. It is the same speed, but systems can sometimes get a bit funny with different brands/sizes of RAM being used at the same time.
 
The ICs on those kits are completely different. One is micron the other Samsung. SPD tables as such will be different.

Also density is different. For me this is a crazy idea. Nothing about it says its the correct thing to do.
