Hi i have 2x 1gb OCZ Ram (duel)

and am looking to buy more ram to have 4bg in my system...

and this week the Geil is on offer :D so i was finking of investing in this so...:

1- am finking ov overclocking my ram, an both these brands manage it?

2- i know i dnt need to do this but is it better putting the same brand Ram on the same channel?

Well it's the same price as the Geil (and better than the Geil if you ask me), so you really should get another 2gb of it.

is it really better than the Geil ? why it more pricey then.... coz genrenly with comps u get *** u pay for.

hmm... so another 2x1gb ocz will this be *** for overclocking ?

They're both £35.24 inc vat for 2gb here.

It's not really wise to mix memory brands unless you know for certain that they use the same chips. So your best choice is easily the OCZ. And the OCZ will clock atleast as far as the Geil will.

ok i have a way round haveing the same brand at 4gb (i wont go into it tho)

so really all am asking now is.... if u was going to overclock your ram which one would u be more likely to buy :
the OCZ or the Geil ? or does it not matter?

It doesn't really matter.

Overclocking PC6400 past it's stock settings gives very little benefit anyway, unless you're overclocking a CPU with a low multiplier and you need to push the memory so that it can keep up with the FSB.

ok... well my CPU is capable of 1066 and my ram runnign at 800 i was wondering if i can push the ram up.. i suppose am just being picky... but what do ya sujest ?

The OCZ is more than capable of keeping up with a Q6600 to atleast 4ghz. That's plenty more than you'll ever need.
