so the SSD I have in my pc now is a Samsung 840 evo 250GB , pretty much at its storage limit with that. I recently bought a 500gb cruicial SSD for my ps4. im thinking of buying a 1TB SSHD for my ps4 and putting the cruicial in my pc.

would it be worth doing or would the different drive types be incompatible or have any issues with performance?

not going to be using raid zero either if the combo would work.

all help welcome (Y)

You're fine mixing SSDs (no apostrophe!) so I'd say it's a good call. I've gone all SSD in my main PC, I've got 5 SSDs in it, 2 crucial, 2 sandisk and 1 Kingston.

you can mix different model SSDs in the PC.

at one point I had a 850 evo and a 840 evo in my PC and had no issues.

if you need the space for games and storage then yes, its worth doing.

I have a 250GB SSD for OS and programs and then another 250GB SSD for storage of my steam library and drivers etc.

840 EVO and Kingston HyperX 3K in my gaming PC no problems at all (other than the 840 EVO performance degradation issue :S but that is unrelated).
