Mixing Memory - Slot Order?

When filling 4 slots with 2 different kits like above does it make any difference what order you place them in the slots , should you alternate?

Shouldn't hugely matter as they will all run at the lowest speed but normally you put them in the matching dual channel slots e.g. 1&3, 2&4

It will be in an old Linux box , shut the PC case and pretend it never happened.

Lol you should see my mobo. literally 4 different sticks in it.

Im not playing the aesthetics game until RAM prices come way down though.

I couldn't alternate them between the dual channel slots because of the size of the Vengeance heatinks with my HR-02 cooler but it still worked.
