ive just completed my first build, everything seems to be fine, however i originally bought ddr2 pc 3200.(2x512).being a newbie i realised i neede at least pc 4200 at least for am2 m/board.i then bought a gig of transcend,my question is would my msi k9 neo pick up the pc 3200 with my gig of transcend pc 5300?

Samsung, Hynix, Micron, Infineon amongst others make it. It's usually labelled as PC2-3200 sometimes with a U on the end. There's loads on the bay.

I think the overwhelming answer is................................We don't know!!

I don't think anyone has bought any of this stuff especially as AM2 recommends pc4200 and above. Personally i would have thought no.

Very confused by that! Try rewording it and also DDR2 3200 doesn't exist :p
There's 2GB (4 x 512MB) of it in my test PC. It's Samsung and cost me £75. I think it came out of a Dell server that was upgraded.
