Guys,

What's an example of software that's used by UK DJ's/Producers to mix mp3's/CD's/Wav's etc? I'd been using Traktor DJ Studio 2.5.3 and recently purchased 3.1.1. and wanted to find something to compare to it. A few clubs I'd been in recently use this in parallel with some other track selection software, and vinlyl/CD Decks. It looks pretty cool but is fairly easy to use after my hours of playing around and discovering little buttons.

What could I try?

Thanks,

Pete.

tracktor s was mentioned, and i'm sure ableton live does it too.

My friend has a licensed version of Ableton Live 5 and its an awesome piece of software. He uses in combo with several other bits of software aswell as a midi keyboard, its impressive what he can do!

Live is indeed fantastic, I use it as my main sequencer - but it has little to do with traditional DJing, you need to at least setup the files you want to drop into it a little (tempo, timestretching points etc.).
