Tell you what all these beats in a bar stuff has been explained to me time and time again and I'm still none the wiser :o

you've gotta know bars and beats, its the most basic thing when it comes to DJing

What would be the correct word to use for a group of bars?

Eg, theres 4 beats in a bar, then after 16 beats it changes...

What would the 4 sets of bars be called?

I just confused my self :(

a phase iirc

they can last either 8, 16 or 32 bars (and 4 and 64, heck even 128 i suppose, but hardly ever)

The way I generallt try to mix atm

Find the first beat on Tune B

Wait till Tune A is at a 32 bar interval and match the speeds of the 2 tunes so they are locked in tight :D

EQ out the strongest feature of Tune B and slide it in so it fits snugly in with Tune A in the mix so it creates a subtle difference to the sound of Tune A

Then after tune B is building up bring it in strong while EQ'ing out Tune A smoothly so its not obvious whats happening to either tune

I try to avoid Clashing vocals, keys and mixing 2 tunes by the same artist :)

Mixing Basslines which work together is an art but often it sounds wrong so Im keen to monitor this carefully in the headphones

Certain tunes require other techniques and its different for each style of dnb but my preference is to be smooth and as tight as possible

Are there no websites that provide videos etc on the different ways/techniques to mix? I'd imagine it's very difficult to describe and I know I'd really benefit from seeing it done 'properly' rather than just reading about it in books.
