Mixing Whiskey with Vodka

It's just me and my friend had one last night, apparently they are called Chainsaw Charlies but there's nothing on the internet about it. A few of my friends told me that it's some kind of lethal super mix that is dangerous but it didn't do too much really, i didn't think it was dangerous either but they insisted it was lol. Obviously it could do damage if you drank too much but that's just like any alcoholic drink would.

I don't think it is a recognised drink in that no-one is likely to mix them and name it since it will taste pretty nasty, put it this way, it doesn't feature in the Webtender and that has literally thousands of dodgy mixes. Based on the ingredients though it is no more or less dangerous than any other double would be.

dirty pint

But thats made up of a lot more drinks than vodka and whisky

My northern friend was telling me about that some years ago, called a Bolton **** Wrap. Shot of everything behind the bar topped with Southern Comfort.

At someones 21st, the birthday boy was given 2 of these. Passed out halfway through drinking the second one.

And it was about £36............ (this was back in 1998)

A friend of mine really likes "Rusty Nail"s, it's a shot of scotch with a shot of drambuie, tastes awful to me but he actually seems to enjoy it.

Exactly my thoughts too - not even ice ! !

Why would anyone ever want to ruin a good whisky by putting Vodka of all things in it?
You just drink whisky warm and neat? ;)

I think it is fine to mix spirits with non-alcoholic drinks. Just not with other spirits.
