how many posts do i need to get into mm?
I would use MM but the complexity of the rules, the frequent changing and updating of them and seeing people complaining about being banned for silly things made me decide to sell elsewhere.
I would like to provide come constructive feedback.
I used to use the members market (a few years ago now), however no longer do due to the complexity of the rules and the severity of the response for minor infringements. I appreciate that it is my choice and Overclockers are providing this service free of charge, however I am surely not alone and it seems a real shame to alienate members from using a service on this forum...
It is usually pretty obvious when someone is purposely trying to bump a thread against someone making a post not realising that somewhere in the mass of rules it is not allowed. I ended up stop using it when people suddenly started being suspended for posting to say that the OP had an email from them.
People are not happy here with the mods yet nothing is done about it. There is no way to appeal properly. Emails are ignored if you email about a decision in my experience. Additionally, "the mods word is final" seems to be battered about a bit. Well yes...we get that, but we wouldn't have to argue if you used a bit more common sense and fairness, not to mention trying to keep things friendly.
After 24hrs repeated price dropd aretreated like normal bumps.
You can price drop every 24hrs as long as you reduce the price each time.
TC.
oh ok, when did that change.
Should make it the same for the 7 day rule, although 14day would be enough.
It never did Acid.

Guess I'm gonna have to read these new rules, as that seems mad. Repeated price drops AFTER 24hours are treated as bumps? lol... that's madness, why would you do this? It will just drive people away to advertise their stuff elsewhere.
I'll read the new stuff to confirm. I wouldn't sell half the stuff I advertise though for the normally very low prices if I didn't repeat price drop, and members wouldn't get a chance to get a bargain.
You're right. These new rules do not change the existing rules. 24 hour price drops are not regarded as bumps.I'm not sure if you've got the wrong end of the stick, I'm sure we can still price drop after every 24hours?

.Well there you have it, np, plus now we can have an 'official' bump after 7 days of no activity.
Also with the 7 day bump you don't need to drop the price.24hr price drops are not treated as bumps mate.

Just read the rules and was gonna post the same.Still banned for bumping 3 minutes before the 24 hours were up.![]()
