Hi There

Figured this was the best place to post about storage and the like ! my dad has a maserati 4200 Gransport and inside it has cd player with a MMC Slot. While out shopping we checked loads of places but they all said they didnt stock them anymore.

Ive found loads on the bay , the micro ones which isnt the one he wants ( alltho it looks like it has a connector to make it full sized ) and then theres the normal one that looks the same as a SD card.

Is this the correct car ? is there only 2 variations of MMC card

Many Thanks

Sam

The older MMC card looks just like a SD card but thinner (I've got one in my 6230) .The newer one is the RMMC which is smaller all round , the adaptor is SD sized so wouldn't be any use.

Allright Sam.

I think we have 1 MMC card left at work, what kind of size do you need? I think the one we have is 128mb or so.

I always though you could use an SD card in a MMC slot!?!

The only difference between SD and MMC is SD has extra security or summut!

Hi Guys

I think ive seen a 512MB MMC card , they dont appear to be in very large sizes :( and its for Albums etc

Tnx for that ian , think 128 will be a bit small tho

Sam

What we sell are 'RS-MMC' which means reduced size, but it has an adapter for the full sized MMC card. I am pretty sure the ones on ebay will do you fine.

MMC is such an obscure format of card.

You can get 1Gb MMCplus cards for £12.99 inc postage , the plus bit is about higher internal bandwidth but is fully backwards compatible :)
