Looking for a new MMO to get my teeth into. Could be RPG or FPS don't mind to much

Ones ive tried & got bored of:
WoW - Played for years bit boring quit about 4 years ago
Guild Wars 2 - Got bored after 7 months
NeverWinter Nights - Got bored after a week
Rift - Week found it bit dull

I Don't really like space games like star Wars so not even looked at that

dont mind payed or free but free would be better :)

In all honesty? None. They're really no revolutionary MMO's around right now. Nothing that really stands out from the bunch the way WoW did 10 years ago

Elder Scrolls Online is more for a mature audience. There is more of a focus on RPG elements then other MMO's, quests have meaning behind them so you actually see consequences for your actions.

Its slower then others, so your not rushing around like an idiot being hand held by NPCs with boring meaningless quests. After the intro, your plopped into the world and just told to explore and find your own content.

The world is MASSIVE, the PvP is MASSIVE and the end game PVE is yet to be measured.

Oh and its also currently rated the best MMO released on MMORPG, for what its worth.

Try WoW again? Other than that, wildstar is out soon. I tried ESO but got a bit bored by level 10.

Sounds like you've played some pretty samey games. ESO is hardly going to break from that routine is it and I don't think the game is all that much cop either - but I didn't like WOW, GW2 either for that matter so take of that what you will. I know you say you don't like space but EVE may be worth a try - free trial for that and soon you've got SOE H1Z1 which looks interesting although we know nothing really about it. You've got Planetside 2. LOTRO has one of the better F2P models even if it is dated. Firefall is free and okay for a bit although you won't find a permanent home there for sure. SWTOR sucks whether you like space or not it's just an ill thought out game with a now pretty nasty F2P model overlayed over the mediocre gameplay.

I really wish WoW would drop their monthly sub price. I'd love to go back, but have no interest in the end-game stuff and could only play on a very casual basis. I'd potter around the Badlands a couple of times a month. :(

The Secret World - Nothing else like it. The setting and storytelling are the best there has ever been. 100% original. Graphics are awesome as well (character animations are average though) but you dont really notice.

Wildstar. It's the only new MMO that ticks all the right boxes for me. The amount of content at launch is simply staggering. Check out this developer conference for some more details. Twitch linky

I've played WoW from beta till now on and off (mostly on), GW2, City of Heroes, Rift, Neverwinter, Tera and StarWars the Old Republic. Other than WoW, none of the others held my attention for long. WildStar looks to be the better more rounded game.

FFXIV: Realm Reborn is probably the best MMO I've played in the last few years and would probably be playing it now if I had the time.

The levelling process is fun and varied with the main story being of a very high quality, you don't need multiple characters as you can train every class on your main (still have to level them though), there is also a decent amount of content including end game.

Whatever happened to Vanguard Saga of Heroes? Did some of the issues get sorted out, and is there a decent player community along side it?

It's being shut down in August :(

It was becoming quite decent before the announcement, but there was never much of a playerbase.
