When I was in high school, mmorpgs were my addiction and on average I must've spent at least ~5 hours a day on them. Now I'm older and have more responsibilities, my playtime is significantly less. I could probably manage an average of 10 hours a week, do you think that is enough to enjoy an mmorpg?

How often do you play and for how long?

I get about 1-2 maybe hours a day. I might get 3hours if I have a lot less on for some reason.

Weekends is always a variable. I might go out and not play at all. Then again I might have a lazy weekend and play a few hours.

I wouldnt say I'm addicted though. I'd rather just play games than watch TV like most people would do as an alternative :)

I play about 10 hours a week as well.

I probably go on a raid once a week for about 3 hours. Sometimes twice if i've got nothing better to do.

Yes, it is enough time to enjoy an MMORPG. I just don't bother trying to compete with the people that play all hours. Naturally there are rewards for choosing to spend more time on an MMORPG which are hard to acheive on limited play time. If you accept that unless you spend that time, you'll never have the best gear then 10 hours is enough to run around doing stuff to make the monthy sub worthwhile.

An hour or two on a beta here or there maybe. Otherwise zero, because there aren't any worth playing right now.

10 hours a week is fine for casual play, especially in WoW when there is so much content aimed at casual players.

Personally I used to play about three to four hours a day after work and then about double that on weekends if I wasn't doing anything, which was more often than not. I had fun with the game but I wouldn't want to spend that kind of time on another game again.

4 - 5 hours in the week, from when I wake up 'til I go bed or my girlfriend says lets go out on a Saturday and most of Sunday.

WTB life

Scaling back now - used to be 4/5 hours a day, 4 or 5 days a week. Now its 4 hours on raid nights and maybe an hour or two when I'm not raiding - probably about 12-15 hours a week. It really depends on what I've planned to do in game.

Hmm it used to vary a lot, when i wasn't doing much i could spend half the day on WoW, but other days i didn't play at all, although i quit now, and it was a tad addictive. And 10 hours a week should be fine, WoW is really quite good for however much you play i found.

I used to be really bad and spend every waking hour I wasn't at school or maybe even a bit into college then I would be on, but then again I had several mates that were exactly the same and we were always on together which made it much more fun. These days I don't touch PC gaming and just play a little bit of Xbox when I feel like it as I am at work or out almost all of the time.

Since 2006 i've been on and off with WoW. When I do play it I get anything from 1-6 hours a day in.

Before that (2004/2005), when I was erm.... addicted, it was a lot worse.

At least 12 hours a day, sometimes as much as 18. Seven days a week. I'm not proud of that part of my life, looking back now everything was going wrong and WoW was an escape that I threw myself too far into.

you definitely not alone in that mate. Luckily i changed some things in my life and now I don't play it at all. I actually tried to go back and restart it a few weeks ago and didn't have the motivation. Guess we just move on.

Couple of hours a day at the moment, have played as much as 12 hours a day recently but trying to scale back. It's summer, so I don't have much else to do.

I have sort of lost motivation to play now, due to playing too much. Just doesn't appeal to me anymore.
