MMORPG

PSU has it's differences from PSO (more than 4 measily areas to explore being just one of them) but yes, the basic gameplay is the same.

Check out this video and this video to see what it's like.

What about Lineage 2, they have just launced a new European server so you wont be years behind the other players, and we just got a big expansion, Chronicle 5!
Such an under-rated game I tell ya.

Absolutely not underrated. When I played there didn't seem to be any apparent lore, no background story, just the never ending push to level up without any reason. Quests were pointless grinds. It is a tiny game with very limited scope and freedom. Hated it. But thats just my opinion really.

ive had lineage 2 to for about 5 months, friend gave 2 me cos she was sent 2 copys - and havnt played it.. due to the fact i dont have a DVD drive.. lol which i really should get one.. *kicks old crappy computer*

but yes.... im also looking for a new online game... RPG style, i may try Guild Wars to see what thats all about, any other games like that which are similar in game play... like WoW... but not WoW... as im already addicted to that ^^

anything online really thats decent and isnt FPS... never gotten into them!

Guild Wars is less than £20 now in most games shops and no subscription required for online play.

SCM

Also not an MMO

You're best off waiting for the next batch of MMO's to get released really.

A rather overlooked morpg (its not really massively) is minions of mirth. Someone posted about it and i thought i would give it a go. It's very Everquest-esque , but with much more soloable content.

The thing i like most is if you pay the one off payment of $30 then you can play 3 classes on one character. Makes for interesting combinations. My character is a warrior/cleric/tempest at the moment. I think its a great game if you have a couple of friends play with you .

You can play it for free , but you wont get all the races/realms and you wont be able to multi-class.

Theres lots of unique features in the game which i just dont see anywhere else , like being able to level every single spell up to 10 (through lootable tomes) and potions that permanantly up your stats. Theres tradeskills in it aswell ,where you can make poisons/better stat pots/armor and weapons and lots more.

Imo its a breath of fresh air after playing a lot of the korean mmorpgs out there.

Um... dammit i cant.

Its just.. .well.... for example, when im "grinding" in WoW, (I never randomly grind, only for quests) I feel like im trying to accomplish something. Same when I did it in EQ2, and that felt like I wasnt even grinding at all! (Even though i knew i was).

L2 though, I couldnt see any reasoning, it was, go kill 100 of these and I'll make you a knight... I was just like.... no thank you, after a while.
