Getting bored and I need a new game to play, used to play WoW but I sold my account a few months back because it just became so boring to play.

Are there any new MMO's just out or coming out very soon? Or any with betas that can be tried?

There is Lord of the rings online but thats very similar to WoW, not sure about upcoming beta's...

Have you tried Dark age of camelot?

It has probably the best pvp system going, only US servers now though.

Age of Conan is coming soon

Warhammer online is also coming, both look good games but i wouldnt hold my breath.

Dark age of camelot is a boring game i wouldnt really suggest it, especially after playing Warcraft.

I had an email from a well known high street store inform me that Phantasy Star is coming out this week/next week as an MMO

Never played them though personally, I did play a small bit of Phantasy Star Online in offline mode where I got stuck once I got to the first boss due to having to go online.

Age of Conan and WAR are around the corner. For now though, dont rule out LOTRO, admittedly, it is similar to wow but you don't think about that when you play it (well i dont anyway). the atmosphere and the lore behind it are amazing, it really is a great game.

i need something like this too :( the diablo games were always perfect in my eyes but oc iv played them way too much '+ diablo 1 bnet is down forever :(' is there any other games like that???

yeah i have a lvl 70 night elf warrior in WoW and now looking for a new past time as WoW just bores the hell out of me now ;)

i need to start another MMO, after quitting WoW i have just had a void to fill and have tried various games but they dont fit the bill, just watched some War online vids, canny wait!

Everquest 2?
Just waiting for my copy to arrive but I loved playing it a little while back.

If I could erase all memories of Everquest 2 I would do it right now, just so I could play it again! I loved that game but had to give up MMO's because of family commitments.

Glad to see such a positive comment now I've finally taken the plunge to go back to it :D

Hehe, yeah I really took to it. Was in it from launch, and went through quite a few changes with the Update 13 and some other big patches.

Really liked the world and feel of the game though. I was an EQ1 vet so had the background of it too.

I used to solo quite a bit, and my main characters were a froggy berserker and a human bruiser, both great classes.

I'm an EQ1 vet too, main reason why I've got a soft spot for EQ2 :) Something about it I preferred over WoW.

Another vote for EQ2 here, I started playing this over Christmas and love the game. I originally played it at launch but was drawn to WoW soon after, the game's changed a great deal since then and is a hell of a lot more friendly to solo/casual players.

I just downloaded the 7 day LOTRO trial. Its a pretty nice game from what i've played. Graphics are nice and the quests you get seem to be better structured around the lore.
It is quite similar to WoW though.

Anyone know when the Warhammer MMO is out? I thought it was supposed to be Q1 2008 but haven't seen of it much recently.

EDIT: Looks like its gonna be middle of this year.

Yeah as mentioned Warhammer Online is coming. I've not played the beta or seen many videos for this game, but the screenshots do indeed look very much like WOW. The PVP seems interesting.

Age of Conan looks like it could be a winner.

Thing about Wow is that it has the content to beat everything and more importantly it has the polish and dedicated team behind it to keep it going, which is lacking in 50% of games released. A new MMO from Blizzard is something I'd like to see. Something fresh. Not a Diablo or Starcraft rehash, but a brand new game on the scale of WOW

Love it or hate, Wow is the king of MMO's and if you want something similiar you can get it, but it wont be as good. Too often people 'come back to wow'. If you want something different then you can say goodbye to wow and move on.
