If you happen to have a sony station pass account it's included in that too.
Already? Took almost 2 years for them to include swg..... Maybe I could upgrade my main account to a station pass... then I get

SWG
EQ + Expansions Which for some reason SOE Give me all of free.....
EQ 2
Planetside
Vanguard

Guild Wars is not an MMORPG.
The world does nothing while you are away - the game is just a series of "instances".
I'm not saying it is a bad game, however it is not an MMORPG which is what the OP said he was looking for.

I'm curious now because I haven't played a MMORPG for much longer than a trial period, what is it that these games do while you are away? Other than change from night to day?

To the OP Lord of The Rings Online looks promising.

Well some of them do nothing much, and are pretty static. The better ones where players have some influence over the world can change pretty drastically. Whole regions of space can change hands in Eve - you can log off in safe space and log back on to find it's in the hands of an enemy alliance and crawling with people trying to blow you up.

In SWG player made towns are built and expand on planet surfaces. Your favourite hunting ground might have a mall on it next time you log in.

Dark age of Camelot has frontier areas between the 3 factions that change hands on a regular basis. Keeps and castles can be taken and defended, and spawn patrolling guards from that faction.

Saga of Ryzom has proper seasons, so you might find the trees bare and the ground frozen where it was all apple blossoms and fluffy bunnies the previous week.

You get the idea ;)

Yeah, good value for me too, since I play EQ2 and PS, and still occasionally dabble in the ruin of SWG. Vanguard has improved beyond belief in just one week of (probably frantic) patching prior to release, so I'm really looking forward to that now too.

Vanguard

If you liked wow/eq2 you should like Vanguard , but its a lot harder/bigger/more depth

Ive played it in beta for a few weeks now , It nothing amazingly new , they seem to have taken the best bits form other games and made into one Huge good one

give EVE another go
1 month
join a new corp, mine or another with OcUKers in
don't bother with empire at all, just get your ass into 0.0 with us and you'll be laughing!
I'd reccomend resurecting your old account tho!
I'll see if I can get online in a few days or so, give it a go... Whats your name/corp? I've had the account on and off training sicne I started playing, so he's about 2+ years old with about 20m sp...

If you give me your details i'll contact you ingame :)

Its worth a try, I thins EVE is the best MMORPG out there, the skill system, weapons and the possibilities... I'll give it another try :)

The graphics on vanguard look good, might give it a go if there's a demo/open betaa around.

i thoroughly enjoyed eve.
very well made, lots of players. quite easy to get into. although the depths of it are as far as you want to take them really.

there is even a dedicated (by independant players) radio show...which I used to DJ on for quite a while (err...maybe a whole year!)

but it made me fat and spotty. i gave up MMORPG's and started playing more drums instead :)
