I have been sent several MMS messages in the last 24 hours but as yet, not a single one has arrived. Is this a normal sort of 'delay' or am I now unlikely to receive them? I'm on Vodafone, the sender is roaming on O2. MMS internationaly have, until now, been working fine with only the odd 30-50 minute delay..

SMS messages continue to be received pretty much instantly from the same number.

Have you tried recieving an MMS from another number nationally? Do they work fine?

It may well be the sender who is experiencing the issue. By "up until now" do you mean yesterday or earlier in the week the same person was sending MMS to you internationally and it worked?

Might be their provider has restricted it based on usage, although sounds really odd.

I've sent one nationally and it arrived fine.

I received a message yesterday at 15:00 without issues, but any messages sent since then have not arrived. SMS continues to work fine.

They've even switched countries since then and that STILL hasn't fixed it, so its over at least two completely different roaming partners..

No idea mate. It seems odd that you're recieving them fine nationally, but not internationally, yet they've also changed countries (thus networks) and still doesn't work.

Give your provider a call and check with them. Might be some settings have inadvertantly been changed. They can track them realtime (well, Orange can with my phone) and see what settings you have. At the least they'd be able to (probably lie) point out at which end the problem is, and if you have 5 MMS messages waiting to be delivered to you.

Sorry, i can't think of anything more useful. perhaps someone more into the subject will be able to help.

Just an update - I have now received one message of the three, which was sent originally 18 hours ago. Blimey.

I was half expecting to get them all at once but no, just one, so I suggest they are all delayed by circa 18 hours.

Why is this and how can I fix it?

peter :p

My o2 phone has been playing up all week with both internet and txt messages, so it might be something to do with that. I have two friends who live in the same city as me, and they said theirs have been having headfits this week as well. All different handsets, but all on o2.

Excellent. I'm glad that, like so many scenarios in this modern age of technology, the problem unknowingly and inexplicably sorted itself out; dissapearing almost fast and curiously as it arrived.
