MMS Pictures too small? :(

Hi guys,

I was just wondering;

I have a Nokia 6230i, and when somebody sends me an MMS its really small (6 or 7kb)

I have made sure they have their settings on the highest setting (sometimes even 1280x1024 on the newer phones) but the pic is always tiny when they send it to me.

I know there is an issue with MMS size, but I never used to have this issue, when people sent a pic it never used to be tiny, I could put it on the computer and it would be at least 640x480.
I am on Vodafone BTW.
I wonder is there a setting on my phone I need to change?

Any ideas folks?

Not sure mate but it was the same when I had a Nokia 6600 and it wasn't MMS enabled. I went on to the 02 website and it was a tiny pic, hardly able to recognise what it was.

I know that MMS is restricted to 100kb size including the text so that could be the reason?

Hi,

I phoned vodafone they said its the phone.

I noticed I didnt have the option anymore of 'scale multimedia image' anymore since the firmware update on my 6230i (V3.46)
I will get the latest firmware and see if that fixes it.

No text involved, 100kb limit, the pic taken at full size is 63kb, but when I send it to myself from my own phone its 6kb so its being resized.

Im gonna sell my phone LOL!
