Mobile Data on Holiday help

Hello,

I'm off on a trip to China and Hong Kong in September and do want to be able to use data on my phone whilst abroad. I know that some companies in the States rent mifi devices out with country specific sims with included data usage for use whilst over there but can;t seem to find any that will rent to us Brits to take and use over in China and Hong Kong.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Why would you wnat to rent a device, Just buy a sim card, should find one on ebay or a special shop. just google.

I have just been looking around on Ebay and found some sim cards that i'll look into more over the next week or so and also found a company that deals in this called HolidayPhone. Anyone had any experience with them?

I realise I said holiday but I won;t have time to nip off to some shops when I arrive to deal with phones so need a solution that I can sort of get ready before arriving as much as possible.

I've used this place for an Australian sim card and it was fine.

Says hong kong, but in discription it talks about china.

I went to China recently and they were selling SIM cards in Beijing airport and the staff were really helpful in advising what network and SIM card was appropriate etc. so I'd recommend to just buy it there

I would not feel so good about talking on the phone or web surfing in a country that spies on your data.

I've used mrsimcard.com a few times for trips to the states. Dunno if he offers Chinese sims tho :/
