Guys,
My parents are 64 and 61 and have had a mobile phone each for around 6 years. Mums has never left the house, she doesn't know how to work it and has no intention of ever using one, learning to use one or feeling she has the need for one. In reality she doesn't venture far away, into the town or city or out with her friends. She doesn't drive and uses public transport. Dad has the same mobile, usually in his car but never turned on and will use it very very occasionally, wouldn't know how to text but could in an emergency get assistance. He still works, drives and is away a couple of times a year for golfing holidays.
Dad is currently away golfing and something has happened to one of the guys, thankfully nothing to do with my dad but has made my mum realise that if something did happen, or there was an emergency there was no way of contacting him, his phone is never on unless hes making a call.
I think this will have shocked the pair of them into realising the value of a mobile phone and the value of having it on, charged and with creidt.
Long winded I know, but its basically a spec me request, a simple, cheap mobile with good battery life, they don't need a camera, internet, bluetooth, wifi etc, the main requirement is simple to use!
Anyone got any suggestions?
