Is there a phone forum or subforum ? Can't find one, sorry if there is.

Is it possible to temporarily block an IMEI without the help of the network operator ? I left my phone on a train yesterday Three won't/can't block it because I bought the phone direct from the manufacturer (Oneplus three) and they don't have that model on their system. I contacted Oneplus who say they can't do it. Have I got any other options ?

I tried the Android device manager but I have it locked down so tight the location is off and Google location history is off. Google saw I was online yesterday but nothing else. No need to wipe because I don't shop or pay or bank from it. Also my Avast anti-theft wasn't set-up completely :(

The terminating station haven't had one handed in matching my description. Haven't heard back from the train operator yet. They said to wait up to two weeks. Also reported it to the police. I don't want someone to pop a different SIM in and get a 3 month old phone for nothing because I wasn't paying attention.

I would suggest wiping your phone asap whether or not you use mobile banking. There is just too much personal exploitable information on a mobile phone. Do you use email on your phone? If yes then almost every single website on the internet uses email for password resets. If someone has access to your email they have access to almost everything you do online.

Three should still be able to block it the IMEI will be on their system as it's registered when the phone connects IIRC, call back and try speaking to someone else.

I had the IMEI with me in the 3 shop. They don't have Oneplus phones on their system so they can't block the IMEI, or so they claim. I pointed out I have been with then for seven years. Said it wasn't possible.

Fingers crossed Trans Pennine Express have it.
