I have searched high and low but no luck...i thought i read somewhere that a mobile camera van could not be within a certain distance of a fixed camera already in place. Is this true or have i just completely made it up in my head???... Ive not been zapped but it just peeves me off when it pops up in this location, that there is a fixed one 5 seconds further down the road...

They used to love putting them around the next bend after a camera around here, catch the slow down - speed up people. Very popular on the A1 at Sandy.

So many people are lax with regard to fixed cameras that they immediately accelerate after passing them. I bet putting a mobile one just after would catch so many people.

Surely putting your foot down right after a fixed camera is a matter of principal? Also bombing it past camera vans on the move? No? :p

Its on the A580 East lancs E/Bound just before salford (its a 40). Im not worried hyperseven as i know the van is there a fair bit and im never in ahurry to get to work anyway ha ha... as i say i just thought i read it somewhere. Happy to be proved otherwise....

And actually - from arfolls post - the fixed 40 camera may actually be dodgy then as there is a 30mph sign for a left turn that oscures it... will see if goole maps shows this....

edit - seems worse in person that google maps shows...
