Did you use their bag or just post it yourself? The problem I see with these are the fact that it's pretty obvious where it's going and therefore what's in it making it an easy target for someone to knick.

Proof of postage won't cover the value of the handset if it goes walkies which is my concern.

Edit - Just noticed their address is actually doesn't mention anything to do with mobiles. Tempted.

I used Dough Dough too, by far the best deals around from what I done comparison wise.

Can't fault them, send phone off (internal screen had cracked) and got £58 or so for my Bold 9700, £10 more than some other places.

You'd have to be a bit silly to send a phone worth £150 1st class only. It's not sent to a random address, it would be extremely easy to find out where these companies are just by pretending you are selling a phone. I believe Fox lost a phone once before like this.

Right so just put my Desire through the same website (thanks for reminding me Fox!), it's a bit battered so I hope they don't knock anything off. £147 seems amazing considering it was £120 everywhere when I was looking a month or so ago. So for once laziness has paid off. ;)

It was. I took my beloved N95 8Gb to my local Post Office to hand in to Royal Mail's SimplyDrop service, which had just launched, as per the instructions. The whole service was Post Office based - you dropped the phone off at the Post Office, and then you went back and collected a cheque from the Post Office.

The staff took my phone and thats the last I ever heard of it.

Always good to get useful positive feedback. Cheers.

While we're on the subject of good mobile phone related companies, to my surprise Phones4U have been a really fantastic company to deal with with my recent contract.

I sold a HTC Wildfire S to these guys last month for £108. They were a bit on the slow side to send out an envelope, although I could have just used my own one.

They offer ~£10 extra if the phone is new, as opposed to used. I haven't noticed other sites offering more for brand new boxed phones. Mine was an unwanted handset upgrade and I just wanted to quickly get rid of it without using ebay/classified sales.

On a similar note, if you've got much older phones you want to be rid of try using Envirofone.

I managed to get £50 for an older BlackBerry, and £10 for an old Nokia. They were quick, easy to use, and I had my choice of payment method (cheque was fastest).

All in all a good way to recycle older used phones that are just lying around the home.

I'm concerned, what are they like if the phone is damaged. My phone has chips on the top. The screen is mint condition, its just the housing that isn't.

I've read that they refuse to return the phones and I DEFINITELY would not be happy if they sent me anything below £110

Another endorsement for them.

£148 for my vgc Desire.

Their values do go up and down like a yo-yo though. £131 last time I looked.

Just sold my Nokia 5800 XM for £59 to them after watching someone on ebay getting £53. And that was with an 8gb card, sat nav loaded, boxed with all the bits.
