I recently sold my BFG 8800 GTX OC2 GFX to someone who fitted it into a Asus Striker extreme motherboard. I've just had a message off them saying that the machine has crashed, and that they've tried the old graphics card they previously had and that is not working either now. So sounds like the PCI slots aren't working on the board?

The motherboard they are using is still new, so I've said they should be able to get a replacement under warranty if they get in touch with where they bought it from.

What would cause this to happen? The graphics card was working perfectly well in my Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R motherboard before I sold it and I had no problems. Do you think the graphics card might be faulty all of a sudden?

Well from what he's said about trying a different graphics card in the board but still nothing, I'm guessing he means theres no display.

what make of psu is it, might be a no name 750w, and what card did he have before, as the gtx's are pretty power hungry iirc.

I've found out the PSU he owns is a Jeantech PSU, which I've got a feeling aren't that great and his previous GFX was a nVidia 7800GT
