Hi I'm looking to upgrade from my s775 q6600 pc which has served me so well but is looking its age in the new games.

I've specced this lot

How does this look?

Don't mind if its amd or intel but from what people tell me amd cpu's offer good bang for buck.

I will also slap in a GTX 660 2 gb in which I am using presently.

Don't think I will feel the need to OC especially since I'm only using 1080p so am happy with the stock cooler for the time being.

Thanks guys, just after a thumbs up so I can go ahead and order. Please change my spec but keep the total near £150 thanks.

MM is best bet.

Here's my best shot anyway.

Maybe you knew that. Won't hurt to make sure. An i3 and the 660 would be a decent combo. As for B Grade mobo, just return it quick if you find anything you're unhappy with. Keep any Sata cables you may already have in case the mobo comes without them. If the mobo works out, your next upgrade can be an i5 or i7.

Well it's all new now. But for the total cost it no longer seems slightly worth it in terms of performance (an i5/H81/8GB RAM bundle is only £20 more).

Z97 board and new RAM yes (you get 3 years and lifetime warranty respectively that way), but used i5's and i7's sometimes go for £50-100 in MM. And CPUs tend to take a long time to fail. And the ones for that 1150 socket are still quite new, even if second-hand.
