Mobo installed...now having issues

I will try that when I get home. I upgraded the mobo first as my previous mobo only supported upto 1055t and Im going for BD. The bios on this board seems confusing. I cannot see any multiplier adjuster anywhere to OC.

Not too long to BD (fingers crossed) I expected it was that. Best you can do is play around with the x2 and learn the bios on the new board for BD :)

Overclocked x3 is probably the best, certainly for gaming. It will be a case of trial and error on the cores though.

well my mate who sent me the 550 said he managed to overclock with 3 cores but sometimes wouldn't unlock all 4. Or if he did they ran at stock.

Overclocking black editions...is it just up the multiplyer

Yes mainly use cpuz, hwmonitor and prime to load the cpu, go up in 0.5x steps keeping an eye on voltages and temperature.

Im returning the motherboard, it's nothing but hassle. The sata ports 3-4 don't work fully. I've locked the cpu back to 2 cores, ran prime, all fine, done the same having 3 cores, ran fine, then 4 which failed. So I went back to 2 cores at stock. Still crashed. Ran a Memtest, my ram is fine. The board is a joke. I think I'm going to Intel. I've been with AMD since 2003. And I need something fast. I won't get that with AMD *Cries*
