Hi,

Having issues powering on the PC. It's 5 years old, Asus P5W DH Deluxe mobo, Enermax modular PSU. Started having issues powering it on so resorted to using a jumper or piece of metal to bridge the power connection headers on the mobo. That worked for about a week but now it doesn't turn on at all.

Tried disconnecting each component at a time since it doesn't turn on at all but no joy.

When it was working I could leave it on all week with no blue screens or crashing. I'm thinking it's not the PSU but rather the mobo. The green LED is still lit on the mobo, so it's definetely getting power.

Any ideas for what else I can test ?

Thanks

Only thing you can do really is source a spare PSU, whether youve got one or you borrow one of friends/family n try a different one to confirm if it is PSU or mobo, sounds like youve tried everythign else, but you need to be sure what problem is before RMAing (if it is PSU and its in warranty) or replacing

I've got an old PSU but it's from an old Pentium 4 machine, I think the power supplied to the current mobo is different and imcompatible ? Anyway I've ordered a 2nd hand mobo on fleabay, same as the one I have and only $100, all good !
