Mobo says it supports 1866 but it fails to boot?

Officially, the 3570 only supports RAM at upto 1600MHz.

it should run higher than that,bios could be limiting you

ive even ran 2133mhz ram speeds on a Pentium g620 cpu

Just a update on this thread, We tested all of the ram at my friends house at 1866 and I can report none of them reported Errors. So the main board is dead, Going to bin it. Bought a very cheap Asus one on ebay. Pretty much the same one as my friends that we tested the ram on so it's all good fokes.

And to note, His cpu was gen 2 and it ran 1866 with NO problems whatsoever

the giga board might be ok,it just probably don't support that particular ram make/model very well

i wouldn't bin it just sell it

"Might" be okay, I donno if I feel nice selling a board that does not support all ram types

No cause his ram runs at 1600mhz and not 1866 mhz.

The mobo was only 35 quid, Not fussed. If it allows my ram to sit at 1866 which I paid for then so be it. I'll be happy.
