mobo with built in sound

my bro has a mobo with a built-in sound, problem is we dont know the makers so cant find a driver to use it, is there some software that can tell u what build-in sound he has so we can find a driver

The mobo manufacturer & model number should be on the board. Look it up on the mobo manufacturer site.

Won't it say the makers of the motherboard, on the motherboard.

Something like Everest Home Edition might tell you, try googling that perhaps?

CPU-Z will tell you the motherboard model.

CPU-Z will give you mobo details. (it will not tell you about sound chip), but you will find drivers for it on mobo website. & like I said if you dont find the drivers let me know, I'll see if I can help

What operating system is he running? I cant find any XP/2000 drivers but there are drivers around for 98/ME on the net.
