Woop, passed my 2nd attempt at the Mod 2 today 
Can now ride any bike I like.
Still got a year to pay for mine, and currently looks like insurance is going to be £500 this year instead of £400 last year, so I might not get a new bike until a few years down the line when I've got some more NCB and maybe moved into a better postcode.
