Just wondering if there was a list anywhere of insurers that are ok about mods or at least won't try and increase your premium by £100 of an induction kit.

So far I've heard that the following are ok with mods-

Sky
Greenlight (who won't cover vRS Skoda's... BOOO :p )
Swift
Adrian Flux (plenty of horror stories to go with that one :p )

Anyone care to add to the list.

If we get a decent list up could it be added to the insurance section of the sticky?

/\ HIC :cool::cool:

Spoke to Andy's team there and got a £758 quote for a 330 bhp 3 door cos with 18's, konis, AP 4 pots £9.5k agreed value and like for like with mods - 23 with 1 year NCB for that policy.

Give them a try!! ;):D

try admiral.

They only wanted about £300 extra to add induction kit, alloys, lowering and exaust to my 106 gti at 19 with 2 years ncd so might be worth checking them out.

Admiral isnt a mod friendly insurer at all, £300 for that is ridiculous. A mod friendly insurer probably wouldnt charge you a penny for those mods.

^ £300 is crazy money for that. id be expecting to pay that sort of money if id done an engine transplant on a 1.1 to a 2.0 or something along them lines.

I'm quite keen on a local Insurance broker to me, Newton Lee Insurance Services. Their telephone number is 0191 5494949, they've been the cheapest I can find 2 years in a row on my Integra.
