Mod friendly insurers

I think Adrian Flux horror stories are a thing of the past, although, in fairness, I have not claimed from them.

I've been with them on 6 cars now with no issues whatsoever, nothing but sterling service and excellent telephone support :)

Touch wood I never have to claim....

And the last time I spoke to another company, they told me how AF had been forced to pull their act together about 2 years ago and had put a lot of effort in with them....

AF knocked 50 quid off my previous policy when the car had a V8 fitted. And a nonstandard box.....Radiator.....exhaust, intake, air filter, suspension, bodywork, fuelling........Hehe! :D

So they're pretty good with modifications ;)

Think I was 19 when I joined AF, even that car had nonstandard engine/box/axle/steering/brakes/suspension and was cheaper than a standard model, or any equivalent insurer :)

For all those mods, including the policy, I was only paying ~500 quid TPFT at the time when I was 19 :)

would the cost not go down a lot if i wasnt a 19yr old on a group 13 insurance car?

I wouldnt have a clue, all I know is that mods make very little difference to the cost of my policy and have done so for the 4 years Ive been on a modified car policy.
