I know how everyone here loves low powered modded cars ;) so thought I'd share.

Here she was a few months back riding on rusty steelies:

Since then I've lowered it 60mm on really stiff springs and shocks, got hold of some of the 14" anthracite turbo alloys and whacked in a strut brace.

Why you ask? Waste of money!

I don't know how many of you have drove one, but they're an absolute death trap as standard. Show it a bend and it'll understeer into next week thanks to the skinny tires. It also has bad bodyroll and a chassis like cheese. :/

So... all the above makes it much nicer to drive. The only cosmetic things I've done are de-tangoing the side and fronts and also put in some clocks with tacho and temp gauge from a not-so-basic model.

Just washed - bit cloudy for pics though:

I could spend stupid amounts doing other things but that would be a waste, saving for a 106 gti now.

/Waits to be destroyed.

Cheers for the comments.

It's the 60. :p

I know the wheels won't be to everyones taste, but they go down well with the Punto fanboys. I paid quite a bit for them.

It does look a bit low but it doesn't scrape or anything as the bumpers are tiny, there's no sideskirts and the backbox is the standard small one.

Preferred the steels...

...And it's at least 3" too high.

*n
I did actually spray 'em and it looked pretty ghetto decked on the steelies, but the rust started coming back. I don't like rust.

It's still too high.

-60mm springs isn't 'lowered'...That's just two fat friends and a bit of shopping.
It can't go lower without coilovers or hacking at them. Here's a better picture to compare to:

Coils are a bit close as it is:

Get your angle grinder out and lop two coils off the springs.
I know someone who cut their springs lol. The result wasn't good.

Low low is nice, not on this car though.
