I dug mine out today now the weather is nice and calm again.

All my indoor practice seems to have paid off, as i can cope with the light breeze a little better now. Im still swaying about a bit when trying to maintain a hover.

I figured i would put up a little video for ya all to watch and laugh at :D

I got mine last christmas and have been practising on and off since then. I think i have made some decent progress so far!

LOL, after 4 years, you are seemingly proud that you can hover, and yet also claiming that you can fly 'inverted'

My uncle bought one for my cousin a couple of years back, In the first year he could do that, as well as some random spinny thing where the tail spins round as well as the blades.... looked proper funny.

It didn't get to being 2 years olf though, he thought he'd fly it while in the car and try and get it to hover above the car. Something went wrong though and it got ran over.... i was sat there in the back of the car laughing my head off.

It was fun to play with though, may have to get a cheap one myself.
 
I can’t see from that site how much the postage is to the UK. I suppose there is also the chance you’re going to get stung for custom/vat charges on top of that as well?
They seem to be selling for about £80 from Uk sites.

I had thought of getting one of the cheapo PicoZ Micro Helicopters they are only infrared not radio controlled, but not bad for £25

Looks VERY similar to mine.

Just make sure spares are easy to get. Mine does not break very often, and i can get parts easily from many places :)


I reckon you are paying almost double what you should be though!!

I have the funds in paypal now, very tempted to click buy although not completely decided on wether to get a fixed or collective pitch rotor heli.

Collective pitch helis are weaker but are much smoother at flying. Overall proper helicopters are collective pitch, the constant rpm does make them easier to fly but the rotors are weaker. Id personally go with CP.

There are multiple helis under different names that are v similar and made in the same factories.

Edit - This one looks real good, I think it is a copy of a Trex which is a v good heli! Bl motor too I see.

reminds me of landing my brothers plane on the house roof perfectly and it slowly sliding into the gutter oooops
