Modem IN Server

PCIe Cable Modem

I'm looking to set up a home server and I was wondering if there was a way to have a cable modem in the same box? Maybe with a PCIe connection or something??

Does such a thing exist?

Not if you are in the UK. You can't connect anything but Virgins modems to their network and they don't do any internal cards.

Nope. I'd guess you would be using Virgin Media for other things, so can just run an ethernet lead to the server like any other PC?

It's not impossible.

You could just throw the whole modem, as is, into the server chassis, and have the wires coming out of a PCI backplate.
