hi

I really hope someone can help me with this one; I have a Dlink 504t and usually once a day or every couple of days I get what looks like a line drop. I get dead links with websites. I restart my router and carry on.

Until recently I was under the impression this was caused by BT or my ISP but noticed the other day that although I was getting dead links when trying to visit websites my torrent was continuing to download/upload. On checking my router status it was still saying online. I still had to restart the router to be able to look at websites however.

I am getting this problem when not downloading torrents and at any random time.

i'm not sure if I have a setting wrong on the router or what.

You could try resetting and reconfiguring the router. It could be a glitch in the config files causing a malfunction. Then again it could be the router itself. Or the router just doesn't like your internet connection [my friend's router did this :p]

The best way to tell if it is your router or not is to borrow a mates if possible. If it afflicts both routers then it is either your config or the internet connection.
