Modem that distributes dynamic ips?

If the PC's still had the lease from the wireless router they wouldn't have been looking for a new connection though.

Try and 'repair' the connection if you are using Win XP or release and renew to force it to check for a DHCP host again.

I'm not going to be much use in this thread, but I thought I could stir it up a little :p I work for an ISP and as such I can assign myself as many or as few IPs as I want!

As it happens, I only use the single IP and have NAT switched on.

Question - Do many ISPs allow you to do DHCP Relay? I'm still relatively new to the t'Internet game!

The bit that is unusual here is not the multiple IPs as virtually all ISPs will offer that as an option in the UK, what is unusual is offering multiple dynamic IPs which is not usually offered by LLU/IPStream ISPs but can be provided by the cable operators I believe.

The OP is not in the UK though which is why few people here are really familiar with the problem he is having :)

Sorry i got suspended temporarily for some bad language, i apologize for not being able to get back to you for that reason.

Basically Teal you gave me some great pointers, and tried basically shutting down the whole network, including computers, to make sure that absolutely everything cached would be gone. Then i disconnected the wireless router from the new switch, which i had done before with no luck, but this time it worked perfectly. Been running Gig-E ethernet with my preferred setup ever since now :) Thanks a lot for your help, i owe you a big favor :)
Also read & learned a lot about bridged routing, which is indeed what i have, and which i really like. Again thanks a lot :D
