Got notice from them that due to a change their end they could not renew my policy. Turns out they have lost a couple of underwriters and can't cover me for the moment, ended up through Adrian Flux this time.

Chris Knott here also. Don't think they even charge for mods, I've just rang them up and declared them and it didn't affect my policy. Wasn't even an admin fee. That said, my renewal has just come through and has jumped a fair bit.

Does that cover the mods if they are damaged?

Reis Motorsport - will do agreed value so you actually get paid out for what you agree your car/mods value is.
Can be hit or miss as to whether they'll cover under policy type X or Y. For instance I needed to tell them "I do trackdays" on one car for it to be coverable, excluding windscreen cover.

Incredibly competitive compared to most specialists, i.e. £100k value for under £1k/year renewal - Chris Knott and Greenlight were 3-6x the cost.

ive been with Greenlight for the last 4 years, never had any issues with them and they always seem to be pretty cheap compared to others. Always a been a pleasure to talk to at renewel time and when I had to call for windscreen cover.

I'll be honest I don't know and I can't see that specifically mentioned in the policy. But I've never expected that they would be, I just want to declare them for transparency.

Which is fair enough and depending on the kind you might not care, in my case it would be a big problem so spending a bit more on the policy for me makes sense.
