The date and time when the file was last accessed for write, even if no writes were actually performed.

Sorry, odd question relating the modified date of a file.

In practice if an existing file is opened, an excel document for example, and a save is performed without any changes having been made the modified date will still change, no?

Would anyone have a more authoritative confirmation of this?
