They might be the ones your talking about.
Why is it better if the scoobs exaust isnt straight and is off to the side?
It kind of looks like the size of a rocket launcher, is there much point behind this?

No harsh bends and no narrow pipes to restrict the flow of the exhaust gasses. Remember its the exhaust gasses that turn the turbo, so you don't want them restricted.

What the best size of exaust should a scoob have?
The one he has looks like i could stick my head down it.

There is a horrid scooby near me, its got big bling bling wheels and looks like they took to the body work with a stanley knife to fit the exaust :(
Its not even a big wing :(

The backbox is a "Jap Style" angle exit. Its actually a lot more angled than that and looks a little dirty but polishes up a treat. When I first fitted it, it melted the rear bumper and I had to buy a whole new bumper off a P1 :D

The tail is 4.5" but the system is 2.5". Its not the tail that makes the difference to gas flow, its the bore of the system. AFAIK you don't need to go over 2.5 unless you start going over 340HP (flywheel). You can get 3 and 3.5 bore size systems.

Thanks for clearing that up and thanks to all the others.

I Like the ScoobyDoo in the back window :p :D

Edd, gorgeous car mate! I haven't seen pictures of it since you had the new wheels fitted

I bet your plate has '555' in there somewhere :D

Again, I've never found insurance too much trouble on a UK model, was the same as a GT4/Mr2 turbo when I was looking.

I'm going to be in the market for something fastish and Jap this summer when I get shot of the Cavalier before it starts to cost money to keep on the road.

I've gotten quotes on various things. I'm 21, 4 years NCB, good postcode, and on Nissan S14a 200sxs with mild mods (brakes, lowered, filter etc) declared, I've gotten quotes for about £700-800. Similar prices for rev3 MR2 Turbos, also with mild mods.

To insure a completely standard Scooby Impreza was much closer to £3k. The estate version was cheaper at closer to £2.5k. Mods increased the insurance quote by the same ~10% as the 200sx, but that 10% is now £300!

Anyway, £75 a month on insurance for a 200sx is stomacheable for me (after the £45 I pay currently on the Cav), but > £250 a month on insurance for a Scoob - that's more than I pay for my house!!! It would bankrupt me!!!

[edit] and before I get lambasted for paying my insurance monthly - there's not a hope in hell I could find £800 all in one go, especially at the time of year my Tax is up, my MOT expires, and my musical instrument insurance is due.
