i so badly want a subaru

i seriously lust after one of these :

'03 STI with PPP and prodrive PFF7s

its on PH for 15.5k which i think is quite reasonable looking at Dealership prices.

/me is going to save very hard.

The newer ones make a lot of sense to me, cracking price, lightening quick and fairly comfortable too. Looks have grown on me now too.

Will definetly be a real bargain in a few years, just as they become insurable for me

And just as petrol prices go through the roof so running it could be an issue... :) :D

I dont like it :(

The wheels the intercooler the colour the body kit.
Not my kind of thing.
IMO the only apperance mod done to scoobs should be crystal headlights and detangod and thats it

I disagree. Stock wheels on almost all scoobs are below par, and the rear clusters should always be changed to the STI variant. Wide-boy rear spoiler is also mandatory (how else are you going to pull one out of a lake?) imho.

Thats kinda what i mean. They need the big STI wing and if you do do them up you do them up so they look like a scoob and the wheels should be golden if its blue.
If you do a scoob up it should be done as you described but they shouldnt put different body kits on them and change the shape of them along with other things.
Im still undecided if i like front mount intercoolers on them or not, some ive seen look subtle and nice but some (like the one above) stand out like the dogs gonads and look horrid.

Nice figures, but styling is a little too loud for me, and surely handling would be shot to pieces...

Still gotta respect the work gone into it and the fact that the owner loves it dearly!

there are some good alloy choices for the impreza beyond the standard. Speedline Turini/ Prodrive PFF7/ OZ P-WRC (badged as prodrive) all suit them well.

and you cant mod a subaru and not add a front splitter. Scott lowe for the win !

minimalistic styling mods on the scoobies go SUCH a long way.
look at that red one for example, its got colour coding, sti rear lights, rb5 wing, and a front underspoiler with a set of alloys to top it off... not a lot to transform the looks of something is it?
the p1 above it though is ruined with the morette headlights IMHO though!!

Don't like the headlights but thats the spoiler I have on mine and I'm getting the same front splitter. Only main difference on mine will be PIAA spot lights rather than those little spots. Not too keep on fitting blob eye bonnet scoop but I'm staying with top mounts rather than front mounts so might have to if I get a bigger TMIC.

Plus get some white 18s and the exterior will be done :)

Am i the only one who finds insurance absolutely disgraceful on these things? I would sorely love an impreza turbo, they are cheap to buy, can look fantastic (as shown in this thread!) and perform amazingly.

Everythings is perfect about them, other than their stupid insurance premiums. Its just way out of proportion to everything else :(

They have a fairly high performance, and get driven near the edge by a lot of drivers (hence they crash fairly frequently). They are also a common target for thieves who use them to commit robberies and ram-raids. I'd say the insurance simply replected that. And like any other car, the insurance clobbers the young - as an old man I pay £625 for an STI, and I keep the same premium for any mods up to about 380bhp.
