modifying windows 7

I am board, is there any way to customize win 7 even further then just backgrounds, window colors, mouse pointers etc? like change the start up screen.

I would also like to have what speed and temp my cpu and gpu is running at on the wall paper, I think I saw this in show me your desktop thread, I cant find the thread for some reason :confused:

Takes a while to get use to but once you know the basics, the customizations are endless. I have mine set up to show core usage, gpu usage, temps, network info, weather and music. Disabled Windows Gadget as Rainmeter pretty much can do the same thing as it and I find it uses less resources overall.

I was looking at that, thought it was a weather app.

You could tell me were you got your cpu,gpu,fan speed,temps skins from could you? ones I find dont work too good, I got atiplugin test
but now shows all valus as %1. I have another but that is useless as it uses shared memory so I have to run afterburner for it to work
