Seems the game is getting some good reviews:

Nowgamer - 9

Eurogamer - 7

Edge - 8

So has anyone preordered it? My main concerns from the beta were loading times and framerate, and it seems they have been improved but not fixed so I'm unsure as to whether to buy it :p
 
Too many games at the moment, sadly this has had to be pushed out of the 'must buy' zone. I also feel that, as it's online, it may not be worth getting later down the line.
 
I was all set for this thinking it was a psn game, but I'm sure I read it was a full price title and that put me off. Might pick it up when its cheap.
 
Not for me, failed to get my interest. Now, if it'd been Trackmania for the cosoles, that would have been a day one purchase for me. I would even pay full RRP:eek:

C'mon NADEO, the Wii's getting it, why not give it to the proper consoles too?!?

WOW colour me surprised! Bearing in mind this was the magazine that said "the Slim wont sell in Japan" right before it sold 150,000 in a week (up from about 10,000 a week at the time)

Definatly want to get this game as its got 4 way local multiplayer and so few games have this gen. Looks like great fun!

"One thing Mario Kart veterans will notice is the heavier-than-expected handling. On the straights it’s fine, but transitioning out of drifts is cumbersome and slows races down. It’s the major fault that distinguishes ModNation from its inspiration, and as potentially divisive as Sackboy’s floaty jumping. A shame, because elsewhere United Front has clearly learned from LBP’s occasional shortfall. "

something i did not like about the beta and apparently still a problem in the release version.
 
So it looks like its not going to sell well then :p

I think that if it was £25 or so then I would definately pick it up, but at £40 I'm really not so sure :(
 
Playstation Home Event space is Modnation Racers themed at the moment. There's a limited edition prize for your Home personal spaces and a animated limited edition hat which can be purchased.
 
a playable demo in the next PSN Tuesday, May 18. The demo will include one track, playable in both single player and split-screen modes. It will also offer creation tools -- and, best of all, any tracks you create and share in the demo will be available in the full version of the game.

If you have any interest in Sony's upcoming ModNation Racers, you've probably already read our review. You're familiar, then, with our biggest grief with the early review code: obnoxiously long load times. Apparently we weren't the only ones to notice. According to Chuck Lacson, associate marketing manager at SCEA, developer United Front Games is "looking into further optimizing the game via a post-launch patch."
