Modulation/Mode - where on Netgear Router?

Where can I find the setting for Modulation/Mode on a Netgear DG834 v3?

if you mean the vpi/vci settings they are found under ADSL SETTINGS
(on a v1 that is)
may be the same on a v3

Is there any reason why you want to change it? If your modem connects, it's on the right setting - which is generally "Multimode" (AKA auto).

Google suggests it'll tell you what it is in the status page. It should be G.DMT.

Not if the OP isn't on ipstream it won't

I'm not sure the official firmware has the option to change it to be honest. I'm using DGTeam firmware which is excellent, and has a page (Advanced ADSL Settings) to change the mode (multimode, G.DMT, ADSL2, ADSL2+, Annex M etc).

The OP's on Nildram, so the desired situation is to be on IPStream rather than Tiscali LLU (which also uses G.DMT AFAIK; they aren't advertising ADSL2+ anyway)

Just with the OP asking about changing modes, I presumed they'd be wanting to downgrade themselves from ADSL2+ to ADSL2 to see if it improved stability (long line).

EagleOC, when you say no joy do you mean you couldn't find the mode changing page, or that it didn't fix your issue?

The new firmware had the option but it didn't fix the issue of Nildram throttling my broadband
