MOH:A - poor performance?

Is this just a demanding game or is there a problem with my setup? My rig is in sig and it barely manages 20fps on medium settings @1440 x 900 and averages at 15fps. It plays all other games fine, including DiRT on nearly all high settings and it doesn't drop below 30fps. I realise my gfx card isn't amazing and I will be upgrading soon but I thought it would be ok for most games until Crysis.

Fraid I dont have either of those, in fact I dont have any new titles apart from DiRT and Madden '08 (which is hardly a punishing game lol) , F.E.A.R is probably the only other graphically demanding game I have and that runs fine everything maxed.

Yea I know I need an upgrade, trouble is I only have an OCZ 450W PSU so I'd probably need a new PSU as well, I know I could flog them both to cover some of the cost but its still a fair amount:(

Alternatively I could OC the card a bit but a few months ago there wasn't any that would run on Vista 64bit. Has naything changed on this front?

It runs like a bag on my system, 8800GTS 640mb and 2.8ghz e6300, 4gb ram.
FPS arent bad, but it stutters like crazy and is unplayable, every other game ive thrown at this system maxes everything out and plays very smooth.
There are loads of posts on the offical forums about this game, its poorly written, and bugged to hell.
Ive got rid of my copy, worst game every by EA, total dissapointment.
 
Yea I think you may be right ScoobyDoo, I've played through the first few levels and i've reduced details to medium/low and I get around 30fps which is usually more than enough for me on other games but it's still horrendously juddery.

On a side note to try improve it a little more does anyone know of any tools that can OC my card on vista 64bit without registry hacks and the rest? Thanks.

Same here with an 8800GTX,Q6600 @ 3.2Ghz & 4Gb of ram,as ScoobyDoo says it's very badly coded & i sold my copy after a week.
 
The single player element for me runs great all maxed out, if i put sound to low.

Take it on-line and it's a different story. I hate lowering the detail on a game i know i should be able to run easily.
The dedicated servers patch helped a lot in smoothing the game out,but it still ain't great runner.
 
I quite like the way MOH:A plays however there are only a couple of fairly short levels so its gets boring fast. Multiplayer is a bit dull as there are very few people playing it online and the server monitoring bit of the game is even worse than the one built into the first game.

Graphics look fairly good on my pc at (1680*1050 all set to high). Though the game is a bit buggy as it has a tendency to crash at the start of the missions when you are on the plane. Though once you are out of the plane its fine.

As soon as HLSW supports it and more people play it on line things will improve, well at least I hope it will as I really liked the first game online!

Has anyone been able to get the v1.1 patch to download? The EA site is unbelievably slow and I tried several times yesterday and I'm trying again at the mo.

Edit: Its now working but at 30kb/s it may take a while...

running it on rig in sig, all details high @1680x1050 using fraps im getting over 80fps at best, lowest about 40 fps, but even on high frame rate it still feels very sluggish
 
Oh poo, i've just bough this game today and started playing, i think its quite good! :D

I have;

E4400 @2Ghz
8800GTS 640mb
and Giel 2GB @ 800mz

and it runs really well with everything on max. :cool:

Didnt realize online was not very busy, will try that in a bit.
